Data Science Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for data or IT professionals who have current experience working in the data science field to be involved in a Cut Score workshop for the CompTIA Data Science+ certification exam.

During the Cut Score workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will determine and set the passing standard for the certification exam, and will create, develop and review items for the CompTIA Data Science+ Exam.

Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing industry relevant certifications. Potential SMEs must have at least 5 years of experience working in a data engineering or data scientist role, with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Database systems (SQL and NoSQL), data warehousing solutions, ETL tools, machine learning, and/or data APIs
• Python, Java, and Scala programming languages
• Distributed systems (basics of)
• Algorithms and data structures

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

• An honorarium of $200 per day (or $1000 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
• 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
• Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments daily during the workshop
• A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Cut Score workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

Only professionals currently working in one of the above fields should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers/teachers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
